St. Michael’s Anglican Choir plays a central role in the worship life of the church, leading the congregation in Choral Eucharist every Sunday morning.
The choir enriches these services with a wide repertoire of sacred music, ranging from traditional Anglican hymns to more contemporary choral pieces.
In addition to our weekly contributions, the choir also sings for special services, including six Evensongs throughout the year. These evening services highlight the beauty of Anglican choral tradition.
The choir also performs for major festivals, such as Christmas, Easter, and other key liturgical celebrations, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere of these occasions.
The choir further enhances the church’s spiritual life by participating in Taizé services, which emphasize meditative chants and reflective worship, creating a peaceful and contemplative atmosphere.
Our repertoire consists of anthems, hymns, Psalm responses and chants, usually in 4part harmony, as well as other sacred songs in diverse styles and forms.
Our 2023 ‘Sing with Spirit’ Seminar series provided significant educational opportunities for our choir and congregation, as well as other congregations.
