We sing a wide range of mainly popular music in harmony. We have lots of
laughs but are serious about our singing. We want to be the best we can and
work hard to achieve this. Essential to this is our Music Director Val Weston
who has a lifetime experience in teaching and performing music and in
conducting choirs. We are accompanied by John Davies – a very
experienced and gifted pianist.
Everyone is welcome and new members are supported and encouraged.
There's no audition and you don't have to read music.
We meet on Tuesday afternoons at the Des Moffatt Western Community
Centre, Somerset Road, Swindon SN2 1NF. The centre has an adjoining car
park. Doors open at 12.45pm for the 1.15-2.45pm singing session.
Afterwards there's time to chat over tea and biscuits.
If you think you'd like to join us you'd be welcome to come along for a
session and see what you think. Go on – what do you have to lose? Fill in our
contact form and we'll take it from there.
Please also use the contact form if you'd like to book us to sing – or to
ask any questions. We like to perform in public and have singing
engagements throughout the year. We raise money for our nominated charity
Prospect, the local hospice.
There is nothing like the magic of music to bring people together and
joining a choir has many recognised benefits. We welcome you to join us and
enjoy the friendship, fellowship and fun created by singing together. We look Forward to meeting you.
