About our choir

“We love harmony, It’s that simple”    It may be a simple concept but when you hear this wonderful group perform you’ll appreciate just how intricate and beautiful their arrangements of some well known & some not so well known songs really are.    We have ventured into every genre of music including bluegrass, 80’s pop, classical,folk, gospel, jazz, Irish traditional and all kinds of contemporary music.    The origins of our people started in the small parish of Ballyfermot in 70’s Dublin which had an incredible reputation for very serious talent.  We are very privileged to have some of these amazing musicians and singers with us today and are enjoying their incredible talent.    Currently, Shared Spirit performs at 6.30pm mass at St Patrick’s, Celbridge in Co Kildare bi monthly on Saturday evenings, offering a modern selection of songs by artists like James Taylor, Susan Ashton, Mariah Carey, Cara Dillon, Hillsong, Nickel Creek, Flatt Lonesome and The Isaac’s but to name a few.    Also, we have worked with “Darkness into Light”, The Simon Community, Focus Ireland and a host of other charities & non profit organisations.    The group has also performed at some prestigious live venues including The attic sessions-Dublin, Arás Cronin, The Mansion House and have upcoming dates in Vicar street and the National Concert Hall.    We are also currently recording our 1st album called “Origins” which is due for release in March 2025 on all the major music platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, Pandora, Amazon, Instagram, YouTube, Tidal, iHeartRadio, Deezer but to name a few…    Although we’ve worked our butts of the last 4 years, we feel like we’re only getting started, it’s the joy of our lives and we feel very privileged to be able to put out such quality and thought provoking music to all ages and genres.  We hope you can join us at a venue or through your EarPods…    Ray Menton  Group Director
