About our choir

Gabriella Costa, is an internationally renowned soprano, who has established herself as a sought-after artist in the realms of Lied, concerts, and opera.   Her remarkable voice has graced some of the most important opera houses worldwide including the Teatro La Fenice in Venice, the Opera House of Florence, Opernhaus in Zürich, Opéra de Nice, and venues like the Shanghai Opera House, the Hermitage Theater in St. Petersburg, the Hamamatsu Opera House in Japan.   She is also a Professor, currently serving on the Vocal Arts faculty of both Reggio Emilia and La Spezia Music High School and University.   As a choir conductor she began her activity as an assistant to Henri Farge, former co-conductor of the Opéra de Genève Orchestra.   She is the Musical Director of the Nova Tempora Choir since June 2021

Alessandra is the perfect President of our Choir. In life outside Nova Tempora Choir, she a business woman but nevertheless she manages to infuse a lot of her energy on planning, and doing everything possible to run the choir at the very best, together with our other board members. She is friendly, warm hearted and reliable. We love her!
