About our choir
Info
Based in Saint Germain en Laye in France, the vocal group Dédicace is a dynamic troupe of around one hundred singers who perform polyphonic French songs. A "choir" like no other, Dédicace has been pushing back the walls of conformism for more than 20 years.
Led by Maud Galichet, choirmaster and artistic director, and accompanied by Philippe Laroche on piano, the choir performs on theater stages and at festivals, events, flashmobs as well as for film productions.
Each Dédicace concert is designed to offer audiences a new, original creation. The concept of the shows is based on an original scenario in which the common thread revolves around polyphonic texts and arrangements (4 mixed voices) of French songs.
The songs are about joy, love, friendship, the passage of time, current events, death, childhood, women, freedom, false notes and real wrinkles ... Their repertoire ranges from Nougaro, Aznavour, Lavilliers, Goldman, Cabrel, Souchon, Voulzy and Polnareff to Tryo, Clarika, Biolay, Juliette, Cherhal, Delerm, Nach, M, Alexis HK...
It is the desire to share and combine the pleasure of singing with the discovery of the French music culture that has driven the Dédicace troupe to offer the public innovative collective singing experiences: Flash Mob at the Forum des Halles in Paris with Yael Naïm, singing happenings in bars and charity concerts in nursing homes, hospitals and for the telethon. They also organize numerous singing weekends with guest stars(such as in 2017 with Albin de la Simone or in 2019 with Jules).
